Sharon Kaye Mauer’s practice focuses trusts and estates and corporate law.
Sharon has practiced law for twenty year. She helps navigate her clients through various aspects of estate planning, such as wills, trusts, probate and administration, powers of attorney, and health care proxies and real estate transactions.
She also provides advice and solutions for emerging and established companies, entrepreneurs, private investment funds and executives in a broad range of complex business transactions, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholder and operating agreements, corporate policies and procedures and general business counseling.
Sharon has had a multifaceted career, where she was General Counsel of a renewable energy company, taking it from a start-up through the IPO registration process, Vice President and Corporate Counsel to an NYSE listed real estate investment trust, and spent time at various big-law and international firms, including Abrams, Garfinkel, Margolis, Bergson LLP, Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal LLP (now known as SNR Denton) and King & Spalding LLP.
She graduated with distinction at the top of her class at Hofstra University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University, Barnard College. She is an accomplished violinist since the age of three and an avid martial arts fan. When she is not at work, she is enjoying the company of her daughter, Hilde.
